Awesome hotel
We flew from London to Haugesund & stayed here & loved it. Was only about £70 per night AND INCLUDES BREAKFAST, A LIGHT EVENING MEAL & MAKE YOUR OWN WAFFLES! (from 3-6pm). Is right in the centre of town. There is a lounge with a plasma screen & x box with 4 controls & the staff are happy to set it up for you. The rooms are very nice.
Advice for Haguesund;
-Take some duty free booze, even beer at the supermarket is pricey
-Go on a ferry trip. Just jump on a commuter ferry trip to a little village on -an island for the afternoon.
-Take a cab from the airport. You need a cab from where the bus drops you off anyway.
-The nightlife is great! locals from all around flock in on fri/Sat nights to party & are very friendly.

A pleasent stay
This newly refurbished hotel is made up for in part by the dinner buffet which, with breakfast, is included in the price.
Service is slick and friendly and the hotel has a comfortable TV lounge where one can enjoy the free (make 'em yourself) waffles and coffee.
The hotel is only a few metres away from the fast boat terminal which connects Haugesund with Stavanger to the south and Bergen to the north.
We had a short but pleasant stay in the Amanda and would recommend it for travellers on a budget.
